A tool to help you design crosswords by hand, though there are automated functions to suggest words, or even fill in grids. You create a grid, add clues by hand, then use the cut and paste tools to transfer to a wordprocessing or other desktop publishing package. So a nice tool for education, if you're running a club magazine or parish newsletter, or similar use. You can transfer files in the semi-standard xpf format, supported by some other crossword-editing software. Basic use Crossword Designer is very simple to use. Use the arrow keys or the mouse to move the green square cursor over the crossword, then press a letter key to generate a letter, the space key to generate a space, or the delete/backspace key to generate a black square. Numbering and clue numbering is done automatically. When you are happy with the grid, fill in the clues. To create crosswords with a theme, for example on the reading of the day for a church magazine, the hand-generated method is probably the best way. Auto fill Crossword construction software wouldn't be crossword construction software without an auto-fill method. Crosword Designer lets you choose the word difficulty level. It then auto-fill any empty spaces on the grid, when you select "Fill grid" from the edit menu. English-style crosswords usually auto-fill almost instantaneously. American-style grids with densely-interlocking words are much more challenging. Try to choose a grid which has separate regions with only one or two connections between them, and not too many long words. Or try filling in some of the longer words, which you have to do for "theme" entries anyway. Also, set the word difficulty to "very rare". Fate is a stripped down, no nonsense, no options encryption utility for normal users who just want to secure their files and text and move on. The ciphers used are Aria, Camellia, (all in 256 bit key mode) and ChaCha20. Modes are CBC, OFB, CFB, and CTR, except for ChaCha20 which is a stream cipher. The password hashing and salt derivation are robust. Features • No hassle file and text encryption Note from author: Some encryption utilities offer more-than-is-necessary options, and Fate was created to achieve very secure file and text encryption with no confusing options to consider. The ciphers used are ChaCha20, Aria(256), and Camellia(256) the modes used are CBC, CFB, OFB, and CTR. (ChaCha20 is a stream cipher and does not use modes) Fate sends your passwords through robust hashing and salting routines, and then calls on OpenSSL to do the actual encryption. The ciphers and modes are randomly chosen at runtime. These ciphers are all newer than the Rijndael cipher, aka AES, and are held in high regard by the cybersecurity community. Fate requires the use of OpenSSL and Cat, these two utilities are standard in every Linux distribution, but not so much on Windows. A copy of Windows ports of these two utils are in the zip file, you can place them in the working directory, you can place them in your path for a more permanent solution. I've included a small script in the archive named ossl_path.exe, and if run, this script will place openssl.exe and cat.exe in the users' path, if you're unsure of how to do that, see the separate readme file for that script. Since early 2018, Flashpoint has saved more than 90,000 games and 10,000 animations running on 33 different platforms. Flashpoint was started in January 2018 by BlueMaxima in an attempt to outrun the disappearance of content prior to the death of Flash. It has since evolved into an international project involving over 100 community contributors, encompassing both webgames and animations created for numerous internet plugins, frameworks, and standards. Flashpoint utilizes a strong selection of open-source software. By combining the power of Apache, a custom-built launcher, and our own application called the Flashpoint Secure Player, we can play web-based media in a quick, user-friendly environment without leaving permanent changes or security holes on your computer.
